We are please to present a new update of the IP Cam Xtras addon for our VXI* platforms, one of most interesting feature for 3G/SIP videocalling services is to access to an IP camera. This module allows to code thru VoiceXML a hosted video portal to access to many IP cameras in multi-session user mode. This mean many users can share any camera connected to the service.

Beneficts of 3G videocall:

No 3G data contrat required (you don’t need any Internet plan)

No previous software application/ SMS instalation required

No specific mobile phone setup and configuration, just make a videocall!

Video streaming optimized for Mobile Wireless Communication

Real-time bidirectional mode always available

Works with all 3G mobile phones (videocall enabled, most of them are today)

Works with all 3G UMTS wireless operators

Works in roadming mode thru another 3G UMTS operator worldwide

Theses developments and updates done by I6NET allow to manage different features according to the camera configuration, camera vendors and releases. Remember each vendor use different codecs, RTSP implementations, different configuration modes:

Legend:

SIP is a Video over IP protocol (VoIP)

RTSP Video mp4

Audio I / O, for camera micro and speaker

PTZ Pan, Tilt, and Zoom functions thru DTMF

Pwd Password protection (PIN security)

NC Not yet commited

Current supported vendors:

iCantek

Mobotix

Vivotek

D-link

I6NET can provide on demand a specific camera model using RTSP or SIP. Other Xtras addon required for 3G/SIP is the 3G-324m. For more information about compliance with each vendors please contact us.

Be ready for 3G-UMTS technology don’t represent is very special innovative situation today for countries. Past days, we was traveling to Mexico and i discover that 3G wireless network coverage is very good there in most small or big cities of the Yucatan’s region. Main local wireless operators as Movistar, Telcel and Telmex; even in the road all wireless antennas were 3G enabled! Videocall is possible it’s not a far dream… Here our driver Victor show us his own Nokia N95 3G mobile phone, ready for videocall… ready for Internet, ready for a lot of things but there is a lack of videocall services like in most other countries, Operators only provide very basic services and promote voice and data… no significant value added video services yet available.

This is your opportunity here in Mexico and in most of the countries today, IVVR 3G network for videocalling are ready and consumers too, people already have 3G devices… it’s not a question of coverage, mobile phones or more network’s investments…

It’s really a question of lack of services and promotion!

We are pleased to show 3iConnect, the lastest improvements on 3G - VoiceXML services. This new approach shows the digital convergence of two worlds, 3G video telephony and IP cameras devices. Access to an IP camera is easy from a web page but using a 3G mobile phone to connect to your IP cameras added a lot of new possibilities for businesses and end users.

Main benefits :

3G video calling is real time

No specific application needed for your mobile phone, just make a video call

No 3G data connection required, it’s a bidirectional videocall h324m

VoiceXML allows easy programming to connect thousands of cameras

PTZ functions allows to move the camera 360º up/down and zoom

Audio in/out for IP cameras having an inside micro and speaker
